Mr. Smit joined Hudson Housing Capital in 2025 and serves as an Assistant Vice President in the Acquisitions Group. He is responsible for the financial analysis and underwriting of potential low-income housing tax credit projects nationwide.

Prior to Hudson, Mr. Smit served as a Senior Underwriter & Development Asset Manager with CREA, where he was responsible for the financial analysis, underwriting and management of development risk for LIHTC housing properties. Prior to CREA, Mr. Smit was an Asset Management Associate at The Richman Group.

Mr. Smit holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Scranton.
